Galactic Agents - Human Contact

The varied pace and blinking beats of Galactic Agents' debut album Human Contact creates a soundscape ready for the dance floor while at the same time, being reminiscent of the otherworldly trance-state of a whirling dervish. As the album builds to a crescendo, the ever-increasing tempo plows headfirst. The musical fusion tries to articulate a type of global paradise by incorporating Native American, Celtic, Afro, Eastern, and Aboriginal influences. This auditory attempt of the Eden of world cultures collides with bursts of underground dance rhythms. The prominent use of earthy instruments such as the didgeridoo on the Aboriginal-themed Mullumbimby Bazaar, the fiddles on the heavy dub Glastonbury Festival and the percussions of the surreal varied tempo Afro-Tech-Suite are not enough to salvage an album that should infused with more Human Contact.
